Status - On Hold

Short film "Multiplayer Meltdown," written by Rob Cristiano.

Production Details:
Writer/Producer: Rob Cristiano
Genre: Action/Comedy

Synopsis:
A bullied teenage outcast, whose closest friends are the group of anonymous gamers he plays Halo with online, learns of Microsoft's plan to shut down their multiplayer server, and races against the clock to save their virtual community from extinction.

Casting:
NOTE: Interested actors must be able to believably play the ages and body types listed next to the character descriptions below.

Ronald (Lead)
15-18 husky / plus-sized caucasian. Comedy background is a plus. Ronald's whole world is his Halo community, and he would be devastated to lose it. It's the only place that he feels like he has any social value. He's been playing with the same three gamers for almost two years, but has never met any of them in person.

DigitalCraneKick (Supporting)
15-18 asian male. All body-types welcome, comedy background a plus. Ronald's teammate, and the closest thing he has to a friend. He has a bit of a nerdy sense of humor.

Location Request:
We're looking for a generous New Yorker to allow us to shoot in their furnished home for two-three days this July. The ideal location has two or more medium to large bedrooms, a medium to large living room, and a medium-sized kitchen (should be big enough for a dinner table). If your location doesn't fit this description exactly, but you would like to help us out, we might be able to adjust the script to fit your location! We're working with a modest budget but will be able to compensate you for your generosity. This production is full insured, and we aim to leave your location as nice as it was when we arrived.

Crew Openings:
-Casting Director: Looking for a student-production friendly Casting Director or Associate who could provide their expertise casting the two lead roles as well as a hand full of other supporting parts.

If you'd like to be a part of the film, or make a donation, please contact me at: RobCristiano@gmail.com
